Abel Tasman séta / walk

We were supposed to meet at 9 am at the Wainui Car Park, but JML delayed everyone again! 🙂 This time it wasn’t his fault. He and Rh (Canada) prepared their lunchbox on the previous night, but somehow it got stolen… They were just about to leave, when they realized that, so had to go to the supermarket to get some food for the next 8 hours… Anyway, we started our walk around 10 am.

Úgy volt, hogy reggel 9-kor találkozunk a wainui parkolóban, de JML megint késett :-), bár ezúttal nem az ő hibája volt. Adódott ugyanis, hogy ő és Rh (Kanada) előző este előkészítették a szendvicseiket az útra, de valakinek nagyon megtetszett, és elvitte táskástól együtt! Ezt már csak akkor vették észre, amikor indulni akartak, így hát el kellett menni a boltba pótolni a veszteséget, hogy nem maradjanak éhen a következő 8 órára… No, mindegy, végül is 10 körül kezdtük meg a sétát.

I have to mention Je was there in the car park too (the German girl, who I met in Mt. Cook village). It was lovely to see her again. She did the same track on the previous day, got back quite late, and stayed in a caravan with her friend.

Meg kell, hogy említsem, Je is ott volt a parkolóban (a német lány, akivel Mt. Cook faluban találkoztam), aminek nagyon örültem. Ő is megcsinálta a túrát előző nap, de elég későn értek vissza, így ott aludtak a lakókocsiban.

Rh was our guide for the day.

There were others doing this track (perhaps not in one day). 🙂

Voltak mások is, akik ezt a túrát csinálták (gondolom nem egy nap alatt) 🙂

Towards the end of our walk JML started to sing ‘The Only Way is Up’ – because there is a song for everything… 🙂

A túra vége felé JML elkezdte énekelni a ‘The Only Way is Up’ (Az egyetlen út felfelé van) – mert mindenre van egy dal… 🙂

The track took us 7.5 hours to complete.

Összességében 7.5 órába tellett, mire visszaértünk a parkolóba.
